Darts can help MS

Recently I have started playing Darts for the Rotary Club of London. It's a fun game, cheap to play and helps my MS with: Balance, Co-ordination, Fine Finger Movement and Adding up quickly with out a calculator! Children and people that may need to sit in a wheelchair can all play and there are lots of fab clubs and competitions all over the UK and abroad. Why not give it a go and even play for a team if you like it!
Here I am playing my first game for The Rotary Club of London, which we won and I got the highest score :0)

Helping people to see 2012 London Paralympics

The Rotary Club of London helped people affected by MS to go to watch the 2012 Paralympics' and share their experiences at a party at Rotary HQ in London. Many that attended shared very positive experiences about how the opportunity has inspired them to enjoy sport and plan for the future.
Thanks to everyone helped make this happen.

Can you help End Polio Now?

Today is End Polio Day that Rotary Clubs all over the world have been supporting for over 20 years. We are so close to achieving this as we have the tools and means to reach all children but need a little more help.
There are lots of ways we can all contribute. Here are some easy ideas:
#Raise Awareness of this need.
#Raise Funds in local communities.
#Reach Out to find support from business  networks.
#Encourage Advocacy so people understand and Government help may be found which is really needed or polio could rebound back to 10 million cases in next 40 years.
Check out www.ENDPOLIONOW.ORG to find out more, please.

Have you heard about the British Community Honours Awards?

2012 saw the 12th Anniversary of the British Community Honours Award in London. These awards presented to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the welfare and integration of the British Muslim community in areas of Education, Politics, Business-Corporate, Business Entrepreneurial, Law & Professional, Arts & Culture, Social & Humanitarian.
The awards presented by Princess Katarina of Serbia and Dr Yasmin Sheikh MBE at a special dinner at the House of Lords that I was fortunate to attend. Check out the community awards website for more info.
Pictured is HRH Princess Katarina with the Sports Community Award winner Azar Hussain MBE for his efforts with encouraging children to participate in sport.
