Public support stays strong for Monarchy

Shame no education to help people decide about our Monarchy. This article & research shows people still want it at the moment. Wonder if there would be even more support for British Monarchy if people had a chance to learn what it is as not covered at school. Such a shane this not covered to help people decide.

Using social media you can really make it happen to achieve project goals fast & in partnership on any level.

It's Easy to Do Social Media for Social Good when you're Kaz
Published in Autopilot your business issue 11

Who is Kaz?:
Social media for social good is one of the key focuses in my work today; one that has really developed over the last three years since setting up my website, kazaston.com. As a result, I have been able to progress from a local, UK network to now sustaining a sizable global, online presence. At the same time, I deliver amazing support from adopting social media strategies for all of the charity projects I am involved with. Undeniably, these ventures often stretch across quite contrasting areas, some might say. However, thanks to social media I can now quickly establish greater synergy with new business partners to help get the job done even faster!

Moving Faster:
Talk about faster, I like to participate in the fastest motor sport on earth, Drag racing! It provides real inspiration to move quickly and reach out to the world from support from the motor racing world while helping raise awareness & money for MS at 200 mph!

You Tube film link http://youtu.be/9xeoWVPJcIo

Make it happen:
As a member or Rotarian from the Rotary Club of London leading on social media, for 66 other clubs across the capital, feel that by using social media you can really make it happen to achieve project goals fast and in partnership on any level.

From a short Youtube film about the 2012 Paralympics for use on Facebook, blogs, Twitter, websites and other social sites we were able to share, inform and inspire the public. Additionally, 1.2 million Rotarians globally and businesses heard about the great work of Rotary, the organizations we helped, quickly and for free.

This video shows the Rotary in London Paralympics Community Project that enabled many less fortunate children & adults to have fun at the London Paralympics:

Top Tips for moving forward:
There are so many fantastic examples I could share about how great social media can be to help people with social good projects for any charity. For this reason, I will quickly share my top tips that may be worth considering, if you haven’t already.

1. Get Strategic: keep it flexible and realistic
Make a simple strategy to implement and use social media regularly, and as often as possible. This is really important to remember, as we often neglect it due to time and work-load pressures. Perhaps, start small by using just 3 sites like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube where you can share your goals and achievements quickly and easily. If new to social media, link with your local community first; then work towards a global strategy, perhaps using the top 6 social sites over time. Don’t forget there are loads of applications to help you plan and share even when not online.

2. Make Friends:
Embrace the power of social media to connect you with new organizations and make friends with others that have similar goals or purposes. Don’t worry if these are just short lived, keep an open mind and see how they work out over time.

3. Ask for Help: support & social media education
When sharing ideas, you can often find free support online from others in similar situations. Plus, you may need a bit of extra help or education as I did when progressing further with using global social media. Fortunately, I found a superb social media coach in Australia, Keith Keller, who is now

taking me forward to use the top six social media sites. Amazing to now have five global experts teaching me, from all around the world! For info see https://autopiloturbiz.leadpages.net/oms-keith

4. Have Fun:
As I always say, make sure you have some fun when using social media and enjoy yourself too. Generate lively or happy memories that you can easily capture and share by social media with films, Facebook, pictures, tweets and pins for example.

So in conclusion, I feel that social media is perfect for generating extra support for social good. Also, social media can provide you or a charitable organization with the opportunity to really help others and make a difference to peoples' lives.

Biography:
If you’re reading this, you probably want to know why I enjoy helping people with Multiple Sclerosis, whether raising awareness, fundraising or helping to match people up with the help and information they need. Well... there are lots of reasons! But the story really began in 1995 when I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis.

In a way, I was lucky. I was training to be a nurse at university, so there were clued-up people I could turn to for help and advice. But, I realised that while most people have heard about ‘Multiple Sclerosis’ or ‘MS’ not many know much about it. This I feel partly because clear, short, accurate online information about the disease can be thin on the ground.

Even today, many people have a limited understanding about MS, and this can lead to unnecessary fear, anxiety and even progression of the disease. That’s why I believe it’s important for me to provide support, raise money and direct people to organisations such as the MS Society and Disability Support Services. Thank you for taking the time to read about me, and what I do. If you would like to know anything about my work, or have any questions about Multiple Sclerosis, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

#MS UK DAY 2014 celebrates 21 years of support for MS

#MS UK Day 2014

MS UK is celebrating 21 years of providing support for people affected by MS.
It was great to catch up with MS UK recently to see their head office and Joseph court in Essex fitness & exercise centre. We also shared the latest news about my work for MS with various global partners that are helping to spread the word to help recognise and provide support.
I am so excited by the support for MS that is happening in the UK and globally. In particular the Royal College of Nursing or RCN is really keen to help me in with the challenges of adherence and compliance with MS treatments such as, regularly taking the medication prescribed to help stop the progression of the condition in many cases.
These challenges are not just about taking tablets but also for lifestyle changes that may help with difficult symptoms that MS might cause problems with. Additionally, this is not just an MS challenge compliance difficulties can affect any health condition and sadly it does.

On the 4th of August I will be supporting MS UK with a twitter campaign using various # (hash tags) that I have shared the benefit of using to help people quickly find and share information through social media.
For this latest project I will be using #MSUKDAY along with other # hash tags they have now set up.

Further information is included in the article, below, from the new pathways magazine that MS UK produces for members of their organisation. Why not checkout MS UK WEBSITE for further information or have a look at my website Kazaston.com and our London MS Clear guide page London Msclearguide on Facebook provided FREE by qualified MS medical professionals because we want to help people with MS and not make a profit or ask for money to do this work.

Thanks again to everyone that has helped with this work in particular the MS unit at Charing Cross hospital in London. Additionally, Rotary in London especially the London & Barkingside clubs. The support Rotary has given and also does internationally Free of Charge has constantly been offered which is truly amazing and helps so many people that might need a helping hand or information.

Don't forget if you use twitter pop #MSUKDAY in your tweets to help support raising awareness about MS.  Will keep you posted on how we get on with our #MSDAYUK mission :)

Did you celebrate Prince George's 1st birthday?

What did you do to celebrate Prince George's first birthday in 2014?
Why not share your news and stories with Monarchy online via our Facebook page or social media.
Please send your pictures so we can share on line.
Thanks Kaz from Monarchy on line UK.

Please can you help Rotary London to give the money a sponsor promised but not given for MS

www.kazaston.comPlease can you help with our support for the MS Society centre in Redbridge Essex UK.
Sadly a big UK Retail Company that I won't name has let Philip Lester & I down and just taken the sponsorship return from a 12 hour radio broadcast we did and not donated anything as promised last year to help the MS centre with transport services so people can easy use the superb MS Centre.
As Rotary supports loads of charities we must continue to do this and so need a little help to cover this financial loss of the MS Society in Redbridge Essex, while we carry on with the other important charity projects.
Please just drop us an email if you have any ideas to help the ms society Redbridge centre in Red Bridge.
Thanks so much, sorry to ask but need some help if possible.
Kind regards, Kaz Aston.

Volunteer Marshall's Needed for NSPCC Kids Charity

Volunteer Marshalls Needed On Saturday 20th September. The NSPCC will be holding a large walking event in central London. The London HACK 2014 (Hike Against Cruelty to Kids) will see participants take to the streets of London to raise funds in support of our ‘Now I Know’ appeal.
The ‘Now I Know appeal’ is raising funds for the ChildLine School Services. Money raised towards this appeal will put trained volunteers into local Primary Schools and teach children about abuse, giving them the confidence to talk about it, the knowledge to prevent it, and the courage to find help if they ever need it. All support to this appeal can help us to empower an entire generation and save many thousands of children from the devastating effects of abuse.
The money raised by participants is invaluable to the work we do, but so are the volunteers who kindly and tirelessly support us. An event on as large a scale as HACK relies on the efficiency and passion of our volunteer marshals who make the day not only efficient, but most importantly fun and rewarding for all taking part.
If you can help please contact: Rachel Hunt

Possible Windscreen Safety Risks

After needing a replacement windscreen recently thought must share these thoughts for safety.
As you might tell from the picture my windscreen couldn't be repaired and the damage obscured my line of vision so wasn't safe or legal to drive. So an MOT failure & safety concern if tried to drive my car.
However,  when contacting my insurance company that provides help with this difficulty was sad to find:
2 big national company's could repair a newish fiat 500 for over a week!
Fiat UK had windscreen availability but even two big UK companies said totally out of stock even with their own versions which are cheaper.
Repair company telephone support said things like: dont worry be safe to drive wont fall out!
It will be fine just tell Police it just happened if you get stopped,  so lie!
We can't offer the service you see on TV we do it as fast as we can. From my experience this 7/8 days so big problem if you need your car.
So after sharing this experience with my insurance company that finally found a repairer for the next working day to help after a whole morning of phone calls. My advice is stand your ground and insist a fast repair needed if the damage is in or obscures your line of driving vision.
Don't fall for marketing lines on advertising of fast repair same day as this certainly doesn't often happen.
Definitely consider windscreen insurance cover options as a lot more money than maybe you think to replace. In my case it would have been around £500 but paid less than £70 thanks to my APlan insurance.
